Why Unit Consistency Matters in Shop Calculations

Mixing inches, millimeters, SFM, RPM, and other unit families is one of the fastest ways to get a believable but wrong result.

Manufacturing calculations are often simple formulas, but the units behind them are not optional details. A diameter in millimeters cannot be dropped directly into an imperial SFM formula, and a material-removal calculation needs the same length unit across width and depth.

Keep the unit system visible beside each input. When converting, convert the physical quantity first and then apply the formula. This makes calculation reviews much easier.
