Material removal rate gives a quick view of how much stock a milling operation removes per minute. A simple volume-rate model multiplies feed rate by radial engagement and axial depth.
Use the actual programmed engagement when comparing strategies. A cutter diameter is not automatically the same as width of cut, and mixed units can produce a result that looks correct but is numerically wrong.
